View modelBaby Pike Tail Bait – a soft-tailed jerkbait for pike
Baby Pike Tail Bait combines hard jerkbait action with soft-tail movement. During the retrieve, the lure makes controlled sideways glides while the tail follows the body, providing an extra stimulus during slowdowns, pauses and the fall.
American gliders designed for musky fishing use a similar construction. A soft tail increases the lure's movement and visibility, especially on a slow retrieve. Baby Pike develops this idea by allowing you to change the action of the 17 cm version using two different tail sizes.
Baby Pike 17 cm for shallow bays
Baby Pike 17 cm is slow-sinking, allowing a calm retrieve in shallow bays, over vegetation and in places where a fast-sinking lure would have limited use.
The slow sink rate allows longer pauses and keeps the lure in the pike's zone of interest for longer. Work Baby Pike with short, restrained rod movements without aggressive jerking. After each movement, allow it to finish the glide and begin a gentle fall.
This approach works particularly well in colder water and for pike that are unwilling to chase a fast-moving lure.
Two tails – two retrieve styles
The Baby Pike Tail Bait 17 cm version accepts a screw-in 11 cm or 17.5 cm tail. Changing the tail does more than change the appearance: it also lets you adjust the speed and character of the lure's action.
11 cm tail – faster jerking
The smaller tail creates less resistance in the water. Baby Pike responds faster to rod movements and can be worked with shorter, more dynamic jerks. A good choice when pike are active or you want the lure to change direction faster.
17.5 cm tail – a slower, more visible presentation
The large tail increases the lure's overall profile and creates a stronger visual stimulus. Greater resistance encourages a calmer retrieve, slow jerking and longer pauses. Try this setup when selectively targeting larger pike or when fish activity is low.
The soft tail maintains extra movement during slowdowns and a slow fall. This means the lure does not lose all its presentation when stopped.
Two Baby Pike Tail Bait sizes
Baby Pike TB 12 cm – 45 g, sinking, BKK size 2 treble hooks
A lighter, more compact version. Its sinking construction gets it to a lower water layer faster. Ideal when pike prefer a smaller lure profile or the water calls for lighter tackle.
Baby Pike TB 17 cm – 100 g, slow-sinking, BKK 2/0 treble hooks
The larger version, designed for stronger tackle and selectively targeting pike. Its slow sink rate suits shallow bays and calm jerking. The option of 11 and 17.5 cm tails allows clear changes to its action.
Before choosing a version, check the rod's maximum casting weight and match the line, leader and remaining tackle components to the lure's weight.
How do you retrieve Baby Pike Tail Bait?
Baby Pike works best with short rod movements interspersed with pauses. Very strong jerks are unnecessary. It is more important to give the lure time to complete its movement.
When pike activity is low, try the large tail, gentler movements and longer pauses. When fish are feeding actively, the smaller tail allows a faster retrieve and more dynamic changes of direction.
Champion is a handmade sinking glider designed for catching pike. Its defining features are strong sideways glides and clearly felt action. The lure responds to rod movements, but can also be worked using only a spinning or baitcasting reel.
The model is available in three sizes: 12, 15 and 17 cm. This lets you match the lure's size and weight to your tackle, the nature of the water and the size of pike you want to catch.
When twitched, Champion makes decisive sideways movements typical of glider lures. Every movement is clearly transmitted through the tackle, allowing the angler to control the retrieve rhythm, glide length and the moment the lure stops.
Champion can be worked with short, energetic twitches or calmer, longer rod movements. Changing the strength and frequency of the lifts produces a more aggressive or more subdued presentation.
Pauses between movements give the sinking lure time to descend and change its working depth. This lets you adapt Champion's action to the depth and current pike activity.
Champion does not require only a conventional jerkbait retrieve. You can also work it with a spinning or baitcasting reel, varying the retrieve speed and using short stops.
On a steady retrieve the lure maintains a distinct action, while accelerations, slowdowns and twitches create stronger sideways glides. This lets you adapt the presentation to active fish and to pike that require a calmer retrieve.
Champion 12 cm weighs 45 g and is fitted with BKK size 1 treble hooks. The most compact version, suitable for lighter tackle and waters where pike feed on smaller fish.
Champion 15 cm weighs 80 g and is fitted with BKK 2/0 treble hooks. Its larger profile and weight allow confident control and make its presence in the water clear.
Champion 17 cm weighs 120 g and is fitted with BKK 3/0 treble hooks. The largest version, designed for strong tackle and catching large pike with distinctly profiled lures.
All Champion sizes are sinking. Before choosing a version, consider the rod's casting weight, the strength of the remaining tackle components and the conditions on the water.
Many available Champion variants use the RealFish style. The natural patterns reference fish found in pike waters, including perch, pike, zander and other potential prey.
The collection also includes holographic colours, darker variants with a strong silhouette and intense provocative patterns. This lets you match the lure to water clarity, natural prey and light conditions.
In clear water, start with natural RealFish variants. In murky or tea-coloured water, or in low light, colours creating a stronger contrast or a distinct flash may be a good choice.
View modelGaspar Tail Bait combines strong glider movements with the additional action of a soft tail. Its action is stable, regular and easy to control. This lets you adapt the lure to both conventional pike fishing and precise presentations in front of a fish observed on Live sonar.
On a steady retrieve, Gaspar makes repeatable left-to-right movements. Short rod twitches produce stronger changes of direction, while slowing down and pausing send the lure into a controlled fall.
The soft tail follows the body and creates extra movement during the retrieve, slowdown and fall. Gaspar therefore maintains a distinct presentation even when worked gently.
Its stable, predictable action makes Gaspar a very good choice for fishing with Live sonar. You can watch the lure on the screen and work it directly near a selected pike.
You can retrieve Gaspar in front of the fish, stop it, let it sink or provoke the pike by accelerating and changing direction suddenly. Repeatable glides make the presentation easier to control, especially when fishing for fish suspended in open water.
Gaspar Tail Bait 12 cm has a threaded belly slot for screwing in an extra weight. This increases its sink rate and takes the lure down faster to the layer where the observed pike is holding.
The system is particularly useful when fishing with Live sonar. If the fish is deep, there is no need to change the entire lure. Simply add the appropriate weight to take Gaspar to the required depth more quickly.
When choosing a weight, consider the depth, desired sink rate and the rod's maximum casting weight.
Gaspar TB 7 cm – 25 g, sinking, BKK size 6 treble hooks
The most compact version, for lighter tackle, shallower spots and situations where pike prefer a smaller lure profile.
Gaspar TB 10 cm – 60 g, sinking, BKK size 2 treble hooks
The most versatile size. It combines a distinct silhouette, strong glides and enough weight to fish different water layers effectively.
Gaspar TB 12 cm – 100 g, sinking, BKK 2/0 treble hooks
The largest version, for stronger tackle and large pike. Its threaded slot allows extra weight to be fitted to increase the sink rate.
Gaspar can be retrieved steadily using a spinning or baitcasting reel. This produces stable, regular sideways action.
Adding short twitches creates stronger changes of direction. Accelerations, slowdowns and pauses give the lure a less predictable movement.
In cold water or when targeting wary pike, slow down and lengthen the pauses. When a fish actively follows the lure, speed up the retrieve and use more dynamic movements.
Gaspar is available in natural, contrasting and fluorescent colours. In clear water, patterns matching the fish found there are a good choice. In low light, limited visibility or murky water, try a stronger contrast or a fluorescent colour.
When fishing with Live sonar, change the colour based on the response of an individual pike. If a fish follows Gaspar but does not strike, a change of body or tail colour may provide an extra stimulus.

View modelVenom is a lipless glider-style jerkbait designed for catching pike. During the retrieve, it makes pronounced sideways glides resembling the movement of a weakened or fleeing fish. Its action is easy to control with rod twitches or using only a spinning or baitcasting reel.
It is one of the most thoroughly proven Jurassic Lures models. Venom brings us the most photos and reports of pike catches from anglers fishing in different parts of the world.
Venom is available in three sizes, differing in weight, sink rate and intended use.
Venom 12 cm – 37 g, slow-sinking, BKK size 1 treble hooks
The smallest and lightest Venom version. Ideal for shallower waters, working over vegetation and situations where pike prefer a smaller lure profile. The slow sink rate keeps it in the chosen water layer for longer.
Venom 15 cm – 80 g, slow-sinking, BKK 1/0 treble hooks
The most versatile size for regular pike fishing. It combines a distinct silhouette with a controlled fall and the wide glides characteristic of a glider. It can be worked calmly with longer pauses or more aggressively.
Venom 20 cm – 170 g, sinking, BKK 3/0 treble hooks
The largest version, designed for catching large pike. Its substantial silhouette creates a strong stimulus in the water and presents the predator with a large prey item. The sinking construction makes deeper spots easier to fish.
Venom's defining feature is its pronounced left-to-right action. Successive twitches send the lure into wide glides, whose range and intensity can be adjusted through the retrieve.
Short, firm rod movements give Venom a more aggressive, irregular action. Gentler twitches produce calmer movements and keep the lure in a small area for longer.
Venom can also be worked using only a spinning or baitcasting reel. Varying the retrieve speed, with short accelerations and stops, creates irregular movement that can provoke a pike to strike.
Pauses are an important part of working a glider. When stopped, Venom begins to sink, giving a following pike time to strike. Many bites may come during the pause or on the first movement afterwards.
In colder water, work Venom more calmly and use longer pauses. When pike are active, speed up the lure, use stronger twitches and shorter stops.
The 12 and 15 cm versions sink slowly, allowing longer presentations over vegetation and in the chosen water layer. The sinking Venom 20 cm lets you work deeper parts of the water more effectively.
The Venom collection includes patterns inspired by natural fish colours as well as strong contrasting and fluorescent colours.
Natural patterns are a good choice for clear water and places where pike feed on a particular fish species. Fluorescent and contrasting colours increase visibility in murky water, in low light and when predators need a stronger stimulus to strike.
The wide range of patterns lets you match Venom to water clarity, cloud cover, depth and pike activity.
Venom is one of the most frequently chosen Jurassic Lures models. Anglers use it in many countries and on very different waters. It is also the model that brings us the most confirmed reports and photos of pike catches.
The combination of wide glides, a controlled fall, several retrieve options and a wide choice of colours makes Venom a potential staple glider in a pike lure box.
A lure for both experienced pike anglers and those just starting to fish with jerkbaits.
View modelCheck how deep you will be fishing, how much weed there is and which fish the pike feed on. Over weed, you need a lure you can keep above the snags. Around deeper drop-offs, a model you can work down lower will be useful. Choose the colour to suit the water clarity and the fish found in your water.
In clear water, natural perch, roach or pike colours are a good starting point. In murky water, try yellow, fluorescent green, pink and bold stripes. This is not a hard rule, though. If natural colours are not getting bites, try a bright lure even in a clear lake.
Take a natural pattern, silver and one bright colour. Natural RealFish patterns are worth having for clear lakes and archipelago bays. For tea-coloured or stirred-up water, something bolder will be useful. Choose trout-like colours mainly for waters where pike actually hunt trout.
For lakes with perch and roach, pack natural patterns and silver. Add a bright colour for stirred-up lakes and Dutch canals. Retrieve depth is just as important. In a shallow canal or over weed, you need a lure you can retrieve without constantly catching the bottom and vegetation.
Try a short pause, a burst of speed or a slower retrieve. If the fish follows again, change the lure's size or colour. After a natural pattern, you can try something bright, and after a bright one, something more subdued. Also note where the pike appeared and fish that spot from a different angle.
