Venom Silver & Gold Fury

Silver or gold?

I think both colours are a good choice.
Golden Venom resembles a crucian carp with added red UV colour painted along the whole belly. A strong red contrast against glittering gold foil.

I used glittering gold foil because it sparkles more than ordinary gold foil and also gives the lure an aged effect, which I really like.

“Silver Fury” is covered with holographic foil; this model also features red UV details and a white belly. It has long been known that silver works very well for pike. Holographic silver catches every ray of sunshine, making a jerkbait covered with this foil ideal for both clear and murky water.

If we watch small fish in sunny weather, we notice that they reflect sunlight and sparkle just like Venom Silver Fury.

The best pike lure colours – gold and silver in practice

Choosing the right pike lure is a key element of successful fishing. Experienced lure anglers know that it is not only the lure’s shape or size that matters, but also its colour, shine and light reflection. That is why the Venom jerkbait range includes two special versions – Venom Golden Fury and Venom Dirty Roach. Both were designed for maximum effectiveness in different conditions.

Venom Golden Fury – a classic with a modern finish

Gold pike lure colour has long been considered reliable. The Venom Golden Fury resembles a natural crucian carp with an intense red UV accent along the entire belly. This combination makes the lure stand out clearly in the water and provokes predators into attacking.

A key element is the use of glittering gold foil. It makes the lure sparkle more than ordinary gold, while adding a subtle aged effect. For pike, which often hunt slightly weakened or older fish, this is a natural trigger to attack.

A gold jerkbait works best in slightly stained water, on cloudy days and wherever a stronger flash is needed.

Venom Dirty Roach – silver fury for predators

The second option is Venom Dirty Roach, a lure covered with silver holographic foil. This makes the jerkbait reflect light in many directions, catching every ray of sunshine. As a result, the silver lure colour works in both clear and slightly murky water.

Like Golden Venom, this version features red UV details and a white belly, a combination long considered effective for pike. The extra shine of the holographic foil faithfully imitates baitfish seen in sunny weather. Small fish sparkle in sunlight just as the following lure does in the water: Venom Dirty Roach.

Why are gold and silver lures so effective?

Gold and silver are no coincidence: they are the most commonly used colours in pike lures worldwide. Gold imitates crucian carp or roach in murky water, while silver perfectly mimics bleak or other baitfish in clear water. UV details and holographic foils further increase jerkbaits’ appeal to predators.

That is why both Venom Golden Fury and Dirty Roach are choices that provide an advantage, regardless of the time of day or weather.

Summary:
If you are looking for an effective hard pike lure, choose a Venom jerkbait. Both the gold and silver versions have been refined to make the most of predators’ natural behaviour. Gold works in murky water, silver in clear water, and both colours with red UV and a strong shine offer excellent chances of successfully landing a large pike.
