Description

A distinctive pike jerkbait – hand-painted in the Pink Pie colour scheme

The Venom – Pink Pie model is a handmade jerkbait with an exceptionally colourful, eye-catching finish. Pink, yellow, navy blue and shimmering scales combine to create an intensely contrasting lure, ideal for low-light days and fishing in murky water.

A lure can provoke a bite through a combination of movement, silhouette and contrast, even when it is not a faithful imitation of food. Pink Pie lets you try that approach. There is no need to describe it as an imitation of a tropical fish: what matters more is how pike respond on a particular water.

Key features:
– Handmade – each lure is painted individually
– Unique Pink Pie colours – pink, yellow, navy blue and subtle reflections
– A hard, tough body – ideal for catching large predators
– Glidebait – wide, unpredictable action in the water
– Sharp treble hooks and durable split rings

Who is it for?
For anglers looking for an unusual, effective lure. Ideal for a collection, but above all, for fishing! Recommended for experienced lure anglers and anyone who knows that colour matters.

Shipping and quality:
Every lure is handmade in Poland in the Jurassic Lures workshop. An original design, unique and made with the utmost care.

Frequently asked questions

When should I fish Venom Pink Pie?

Pink Pie combines pink, yellow accents, a pale belly and dark stripes. It is worth trying in slightly murky water, under cloudy skies and when natural colours produce follows without bites. It offers a bold change from silver, gold or classic firetiger.

Does Pink Pie make sense on Dutch canals?

Yes, especially as a colour to compare in water with limited visibility. Fish around aquatic vegetation, wider sections and inflows. If the canal is shallow, shorten the pauses so the sinking Venom does not catch the bottom. In clearer water, compare Pink Pie with Dirty Roach.

Is Pink Pie worth taking to the Swedish coastal skerries and Rügen?

Yes, as a bright alternative to silvery colours. Try it in murky bays or after several follows without strikes on Blue Mackerel or Immortal. You do not have to start with pink at every spot, but it is worth having in your tackle box when you want a clear change in the lure's appearance.

Why can a pink lure catch pike even though it does not look like local fish?

A lure can provoke a bite through a combination of movement, silhouette and contrast, even if it is not an exact imitation of prey. Pink Pie lets you try this option. There is no need to describe it as an imitation of a tropical fish — what matters more is the pike's response in that particular water.

When should I choose Pink Pie, and when Fluo Yellow or Original?

Choose Pink Pie when you want to try pink and multicoloured stripes. Fluo Yellow shows fish a strong yellow side, while Original combines green and yellow with a firetiger pattern. If you are encountering pike, compare these colours with a similar retrieve. When you see no fish, also try another place or depth.

What is Venom, and where is it worth using for pike?

Venom is a lipless glider jerkbait that slides from side to side on the retrieve. Use it along reed edges, in gaps between aquatic vegetation, over underwater humps and along drop-offs near shallow water. You can take it to Masuria, Swedish lakes and coastal skerries, Finland or Dutch canals. Choose the size and colour to suit the conditions where you fish.

Which Venom size should I choose: 12, 15 or 20 cm?

Venom 12 cm weighs 37 g and is slow sinking. Choose it when you want to offer pike a smaller lure or fish above shallow aquatic vegetation. The 15 cm version weighs 80 g, also sinks slowly and is a good starting point for lake fishing. Venom 20 cm weighs 170 g and is sinking. It is worth trying when pike are hunting large fish, such as sizeable roach, bream or herring, or when you need to get the lure deeper. For this version, you need tackle suited to its weight.

How should I retrieve Venom when pike are reluctant to bite?

Start with short twitches and pauses. After each movement, take up excess line but leave the lure free to glide to the side. You can also work it with short bursts of speed on the reel. In cold water, try a slower retrieve. If a pike follows Venom without striking, change the rhythm or pause length on the next cast. Keep checking that the sinking lure does not drop into the vegetation or below the fish.

Which Venom colours should I take on a trip to Sweden or Finland?

For the Swedish coastal skerries, take Fluo Yellow and Blue Mackerel — both colours work very well on these waters. It is also worth bringing Gaspar Tail Bait 7 cm so you can offer pike a smaller lure with an active tail. For clear lakes in Sweden and Finland with roach and other silvery fish, take Dirty Roach or Immortal. Add Brown Trout if pike there hunt trout. Water clarity varies across Scandinavia, so bring several different colours.

How should I choose a Venom colour for Masuria, Lithuania, Latvia and the Netherlands?

First look at the water and the fish living in it. On clear lakes, start with Dirty Roach, Immortal or Old Gold. In slightly brown-stained or greenish water, compare the gold of Golden Fury with the contrasting Buster. In murky canals and bays, try Original, Fluo Yellow or Pink Pie. The same rule is useful on Rügen: choose the colour to suit visibility and what the pike eat, rather than just the name of the destination.
