Gaspar 7 – the new pike lure that changed the game!

In the winter of 2023/2024, the idea for a small tailed jerkbait for pike was born. It was a response to numerous requests from anglers and observations at fishing shows. Many of you said: “You make great lures, but not for my tackle”. We decided to change that!

Designing Gaspar 7 required many tests and prototypes. The final version was finished literally at the last moment, just before our May holiday trip to Sweden. We took the already proven Venom 12 pike jerkbaits in Blue Mackerel and Fluo Yellow, but we also wanted to test the new model.

Testing in Sweden – Gaspar 7’s effectiveness

Did Gaspar 7 meet expectations? The answer is simple: YES! This small pike lure dominated the fishing in shallow skerry waters (about 1 m deep + vegetation). It was so effective that we had to swap rods so that everyone had a chance to catch a fish!

The best-performing colours were:
✔ White
✔ Blue and yellow

The results spoke for themselves: as many as 80% of the pike caught on the trip took the Gaspar 7 test model. This confirmed its effectiveness, and it is now part of our range!

Gaspar 7 – the ideal pike lure

What makes Gaspar 7 so effective?
✔ Weighs only 25g – suits most fishing outfits
✔ It is easy to retrieve – retrieve it steadily, stop it or work it with the rod
✔ Despite its small size, it tempts even large pike

This proves that a smaller jerkbait can be devastatingly effective for pike. If you are looking for a lure for shallow waters, Gaspar 7 is spot on!
